Groups can choose between Wheel Throwing or Hand Building for the 3 hour event.
Wheel Throwing Bookings
Wheel throwing is what most people picture when they think of Pottery. This will involve using studio-provided, clay, wheels and various tools to turn a round ball of clay into a your very own work of art!
Wheel throwing is limited to 6 participants. Participants will learn the basics of wheel throwing and with the help of an experienced instructor will work on creating small bowls, dishes or cups. Participants will be able to choose between 3 studio glazes Pieces will not be ready to take home the same day. Final pieces will be available for pick up within 4 weeks, pieces can be shipped within the continental US for a $15 dollar fee.
Hand Building Bookings
Handbuilding is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools.This class will introduce the basic handbuilding techniques used to build functional pottery forms.
Hand Building Bookings are limited to 10 participants. Participants will choose between hand building luminaries, mugs or bowls, only 2 variations per group. Participants will be able to choose between 3 studio glazes, or underglaze finishes and a clear coat. Pieces will not be ready to take home the same day. Final pieces will be available for pick up within 3 weeks, pieces can be shipped within the continental US for a $15 dollar fee.
